Kestrel Code LLC is a privacy-first company, and we built Kestrel Write to be your ultimate creative black box. Our philosophy is simple: your creative process is yours and yours alone. Because our AI and storage run entirely locally on your device, your data never touches our servers. We never see your lyrics, your notes, or your prompts. Our greatest hope is that someday, the world's best artists will draft their masterpieces in Write—and we will never even know.
We do not collect, store, or access any of your personal or creative data.
-No Personal Information (PII):
- We collect no personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, phone number, or location.
- No User Accounts: The app does not require you to create an account or log in.
- Your Creative Work Stays Local: All lyrics, notes, documents, and projects you create are stored exclusively on your device's local storage. We have absolutely no access to your work.
- Offline AI Assistant: All interactions with the "Muse" AI assistant are processed entirely offline on your device's hardware. Your prompts, ideas, and generated text are never sent to our servers or any third party.
To improve Kestrel Write and ensure a smooth user experience, we collect a limited amount of completely anonymous, non-personal data that cannot be used to identify you.
- Anonymous Usage Analytics: We gather aggregated, anonymous data about how features within the app are used. This helps us understand what tools are most valuable to our users and what we should improve next.
- Crash Reports: If the app experiences a crash or error, we receive an anonymous technical report (which may include your device model, operating system version, and the time of the crash) to help us find and fix bugs. This data is used strictly to enhance the app's stability and performance.
